Short Sims face a classic design paradox. The best Short Sims are elegant. They cover a lot of ground in a short time. But that same elegance makes them seem "obvious" to a naive sponsor or decision maker. I have been in situations where after I have produced three or four elegant Short Sims around very challenging issues, a project sponsor decided the process was simple enough to give to someone without much experience. In almost every occasion, after two or three cumbersome sims were cobbled together by the new person, I was brought back to do the challenging content.
